In his article " Research on China's Economic Development: Based on the Perspective of the History of Economic Thought ", Yan Pengfei discusses two important issues in China's economic development from the perspective of the history of economic thought. First, based on the analysis of the four turns of the research of western economics, he believes that the western economic theory was in the eve of turbulence and theoretical change, and China's economic development should take the Political Economic of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the guiding ideology and adheres to the Sinicization of Marxism; second, by combing the main viewpoints on the role of government and market in the history of economic thought, he puts forward how to define the boundary of the role of government and market, and adheres to the "two-point theory" to realize the effective combination of "effective market" and "promising government". The co-author of this paper is Ding Xia of Guangdong University of Finance and economics.
In the paper "The Fluctuation of China's Economic Growth and Rational Response Since the Reform and Opening-Up ", Jian Xinhua and Yu Jiang analyze four large and two small fluctuations in China's economic growth since the Reform and Opening-Up, as well as five economic upward periods and six downward periods from multi-dimensions. At the same time, based on the research framework of Marxist political economy, the paper analyzes the causes and countermeasures of these economic fluctuations, and sums up eight experiences and lessons of coping with economic downturn and stable growth since China's Reform and Opening-Up, and also summarizes the fundamental reasons for China's economic achievements. Finally, the paper puts forward the countermeasures for China's economic downturn and stable growth in the new era and new normal.
