Recently,a report entitled “Proposals to include assistance in addressing the ignition and start of residential vehicles in community work” by Chusheng YE,a professor of the school of economics and management of Wuhan University and the member of advisory committee for policy decision of People's Government of Wuhan Municipality, has been highly valued and adopted by the mayor of Wuhan.Corresponding policies and rules have also been formulated by relevant departments and put into implementation.

Under the leadership of the Party and the government,and thanks to the joint efforts of the people(especially medical care personnel),thesituation of COVID-19in Wuhan is moving in a positive direction —the victory over theCOVID-19 of Wuhan iswell in sight.

However,it was found thatmanycars cannotbestarted because of the drained cell after a long timeparking.Doors ofsome intelligent vehiclescannot evenbeopened.Thiswould become acommon problemencountered by many people once the city was lifted. And4S stores could not solve the problem of so many vehicles in a short time,which wouldnot only affectthe urbantransportation but also ignite the widespread anxiety, manic-depression and other backlogged negative emotions widespreadly.

Therefore,this seemingly small problem will set off a series of troubles and a chain reaction on the whole if not dealt with.

Professor YE suggested that it was quite necessary to incorporate this issue into the agenda ofcommunity work.For example, organizing community residents to help each other,through pulling,boosting and other waysofexternal traction to solve the problem on the spot as far as possible.Otherwise,the community shall report to thesub-district office tocontact qualified 4S stores to provide community service.

Professor Yealso indicated that hewas very pleased to learn thathis report had been approved and adopted bythePeople's Government of Wuhan Municipality."A promisinggovernment and ahumanistic community should win popular feelings in solving these seemingly trivial issues", he added.( Editor: Gong Yuqin,Luo Yu)
