On April 8, MaoZhenhua,an Grade 1979 alumnus of our school majored in political economics, came back to Wuhan University and visited the leaders of the Economics and Management School, talking about the affairs concerning China Economist Annual Forum and the Award Ceremony for China Economic Theory Innovation (2013) as well as the university anniversary. This symposium was attended by President of the school Chen Jiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee Xu Yeyin, vice president of school Ye Yonggang, and president of Wuhan Yinhai Property Investment Co., Ltd. Zeng Wentao. Chen Jiyong presented a gift to MaoZhenhua to express his thanks for Mao’s sincere care about the development of the school.

Mao Zhenhua, the founder of China Chengxin Credit Management Co., Ltd., was enrolled to the Economics Department of Wuhan University in 1979 and was granted the doctoral degree in Economics, and he participated in the postdoctoral program of Chinese Academy of Social Science. He had once worked for Hubei Provincial Bureau of Statics, Policy Research Office under CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, Hainan Provincial People’s Development Research Center, and Research Office of the State Council successively. In 1992, Mao established the first nation-wide credit rating agency in China. He shows great enthusiasm in public welfare and contributes a lot his mother school. On the occasion of the 120th anniversary celebration of Wuhan University, he donated RMB50,000,000 Yuan to construct the humanities and social science building, which fully expresses his deep appreciation and attachment to the mother school.

It is reported that as important academic activities to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of Wuhan University and commemorative activities for the 120th Anniversary of business education, China Economist Annual Forum and the award ceremony for China Economic Theory Innovation (2013) will be held in the Economics and Management School during the anniversary celebration period.
